| dc.description.abstract | This work focuses on how exposure to language and interaction with native speakers influence the process of acquiring and learning a Second Language (L2). The objective of this study is to investigate the process of acquiring a L2, focusing on understanding how individuals develop linguistic skills in a non-native contexto. Furthermore, we also seek to highlight the main factors that influence the process of acquiring an L2. Besides, for this research a qualitative theoretical-methodological approach of an ethnographic nature was used, in which face-to-face and online interviews were carried out with Japanese immigrants and descendants, speakers of portuguese and japanese. The present work is based on studies by Krashen (1981), Figueiredo (1995) and Lima (2011) on the language acquisition process, however, we will specifically address the process of acquiring an L2. Therefore, among the main results of this research, the way speakers acquire L2 stands out, which can occur naturally or formally. Moreover, it was possible to perceive the linguistic and cultural influence of the Japanese in Brazil, particularly in the state of Pará, which contributes to the country's linguistic-cultural diversity. | |
| dc.description.resumo | Este trabalho versa sobre como a exposição à língua e a interação com falantes nativos influenciam no processo de aquisição e aprendizagem de uma Segunda Língua (L2). O objetivo deste estudo é investigar o processo de aquisição de uma L2, focando em compreender como os indivíduos desenvolvem habilidades linguísticas em um contexto não nativo. Além disso, busca-se também evidenciar quais os principais fatores que influenciam no processo de aquisição de uma L2. Ademais, para esta pesquisa foi utilizada a abordagem teórico metodológica qualitativa de cunho etnográfico, em que foram realizadas entrevistas presenciais e online com imigrante japonês e descendentes de japoneses, falantes dos idiomas português e japonês. O presente trabalho se baseia nos estudos de Krashen (1981), Figueiredo (1995) e Lima (2011) sobre o processo de aquisição da linguagem, no entanto, abordaremos especificamente o processo da aquisição de uma L2. Assim sendo, dentre os principais resultados dessa pesquisa, destaca-se a forma como os falantes adquirem a L2, podendo ocorrer de forma natural ou formal. Além do mais, foi possível perceber a influência linguística e cultural dos japoneses no Brasil, particularmente no estado do Pará, o que contribui para a diversidade linguístico-cultural do país. | |
